You Broke My Smolder! (Character Study: Eugene Fitzherbert AKA Flynn Rider)

"I know not who you are nor how I came to find you... but let me just say, Hi, the name's Flynn Rider." Well... So much for the poet aspect. Today's character study goes out to the thief of the hour, Flynn Rider! *cheers*
Well thanks to you too Eugene. Any-way... let's get started on Flynn's character study. Because frankly, the man needs some love... He is the "handsome prince" of Tangled, even though their is one minor detail... He's a thief. And frankly, all the girls swoon for our loveable swashbuckler. I did. And then he fell for Rapunzel, which I loved more. Overall, you grow to love him very early on. Especially when Rapunzel shoves him into a closet (see previous post). He deserved that one.

Flynn: That girl...
Me: Is your one true love.
Flynn: She got me into so many situations that I won't even mention!
Me: Hey now Mister Grumpy-Pants, think of the bright side on this one, you aren't hanging from a noose, or being stabbed in the kidney (note: Spoilers).
Flynn: Point made, carry on.
Regardless of what happened, the adventure is way better than stealing a measly crown. As you can see, there are much better things in life than stealing. It's not everyday that you discover a girl has magical hair and that she can heal you.
Ahhh.... I'm not freaking out are you freaking out, No! I'm just very interested in your hair and the magical qualities that it possesses, how long has it been doing that exactly?

Rapunzel: Um, forever? I guess?

Flynn has a change of heart during the most heartfelt scene in the play, and this scene including the romantic gondala ride, really reveals Flynn... Eugene, as a man. He is starting to have feelings for this girl with 70ft of hair. And after saving his hand, his life (on more than one occasion), and his overall dignity, it's no wonder that  he fell head over heels for her.
Awwww, see? Love. I mean truth be told, it's typical Disney to have something like that happen. But the way it is portrayed really captures the viewer into realizing that he may have some feelings for her. At the very start it was "Alone... me... money... island... Me... Me... Me..." And by the end it was, "Rapunzel, Me, Happy, Rapunzel... Love... Rapunzel is my new dream." And overall, a realization like that shows change of heart.

Yes, even after a line like "You broke my smolder"

Oh and a funny story before I go...
I was in school doing whatever I do, and frankly I love my friends. They are my entire life. Without friends you have nothing. Well, anyway, back to the point. We were doing peer editing on our essays back from OCTOBER (My teacher takes too long... it's not even funny). I got a 43/50 on my rough draft. My friends, not so much. 27/50, 28/50, 30/50. All pretty decent, but my friend told me that I had a guarrenteed
"A"  anyway. Well I went to work editing their papers and I saw them laughing, writing crazy notes on mine. I ended up laughing in the end, but they certainly broke my smolder when I begged and pleaded for them to "stop hatin' on MY paper cuz I got a higher score". Well, what are friends for?

Next Post: Maximus: Loyal Dog or Vengeful Steed (who knows his way around a sword-frying pan all out brawl).

Oh and Don't Forget:
I like Bunnies.
